The On Cloudultra 2 PO is a trail shoe specifically designed for long-distance running. If you run ultra distances, 50 km or more, you need a trail shoe that offers continuous cushioning. The shoe for your most challenging adventures!
Midsole
The Cloudultra 2 PO has the reactive Helion™ superfoam cushioning material that provides a lot of cushioning with every step you take. The foam is combined with the unique CloudTec® technology. CloudTec® are the 'clouds' that absorb both horizontal and vertical shocks and therefore make your landing extra soft. Once your feet hit the ground, the Clouds stay firmly in place so you can continue with a powerful push-off. Furthermore, the midsole has a Speedboard®, a plastic plate that bends while running, allowing you to push off faster.
Upper
The Swiss-Engineered mesh upper provides support in strategic places around the midfoot and has high breathability in the forefoot. On uses recycled materials in the upper to reduce its impact on the environment. The upper has a knitted sock construction for optimal wearing comfort and extra strength for the feet. To reduce swelling, the FlipRelease at the top of the shoe can be unfolded to relieve pressure on the midfoot and forefoot.
Wear sole
To ensure mega-grip, this model has the Missiongrip™ outsole to tackle any trail without a doubt. The Missiongrip™ outsole provides great grip with square studs in the heel and forefoot, as well as multi-angled studs in the shank and toe. The Missiongrip™ rubber has a 'sticky' property, which makes it stick to the surface you walk on. Not literally, but it does give you the feeling of a lot of grip and traction.
