Extra Butter Smooth Talks presents: Keeping it simple with Ateet Singh

“The power is in the simplicity so be yourself and just breathe. Don’t overcomplicate things”  Ateet Singh is leaving his mark in the world of cinema, photography and music by keeping things simple and backing himself.  And now he’s adding coffee as his latest passion.

Meet Ateet Singh. Blessed with boundless curiosity and a passion to succeed, Ateet has had a methodical rise to prominence.  “As a kid, I had a wild imagination. Every still photograph or painting, I imagined a story behind it. That curiosity led me to what I do today”, Says Ateet.  Starting as a photographer in Delhi, he was drawn to Bollywood and the film sets in Mumbai.  The thrill of being behind the lens fueled his passion for cinematography.  Moving from assisting roles to independent projects he has ammased  a body of work that includes action films, climate change documentaries and music videos featuring artists like Divine, and Dino James

He hails “Kill Bill '' and “Bandit Queen '' as masterpieces of storytelling and visual artisty and looks up to Guy Ritchie and Vishal Bharadway as icons he’d like to work with in the future.  But first, coffee!   Ateet will be delving into the world of coffee  with his new venture; Journal Cafe in Khar Mumbai. Look for Journal’s cold brew at EB Commissary in Lower Parel.  It’s amazing!

When it comes to his sneakers, Ateet likes to keep it OG.  Air Force 1 on the weekends to chill in and NB 991 for those marathon shoot days.
